Neuromotor development

Neuromotor development was assessed using items from the Touwen’s Neurodevelopmental Examination. Children's motor behavior was observed in supine, prone, sitting, standing, and walking positions.

Trained research assistants did observations. Measured items were categorised in tone, responses, and other observations. Tone items were scored as normal, low, or high. Response and other observations were scores as present, absent, or excessive.
