Fetal growth parameters

Fetal growth was assesses via fetal ultrasounds carried out by sonographics during visits to the research center using standardized ultrasound procedures. Fetal growth measures included crown-rump length, head circumference, abdominal circumference, and femur length. Femur length was used as a proxy for fetal length. Estimated fetal weight was calculated using the Hadlock equation. Fetal growth characteristics were converted into SD scores (SDSs) according to reference growth charts.
