Short Ruminative Response Scale (RRS)

The Ruminative Reponse Scale (RRS) assesses ruminative tendencies in terms of Reflection (comtemplating to alleviate negative mood, e.g., "Write down what you are thinking and analyze it") and Brooding (moody pondering, e.g., "Think 'Why do I always react this way?''). The Short RRS consists of 10 items from the original list of 22, rated on a 4-point Likert scale.

In Generation R, the 5 items from the Brooding subscale from the short RRS were administered.
