Confusion, Hubbub, and Order Scale (CHAOS)

The Confusion, Hubbub and Order Scale (CHAOS) is a parent-report measure to rate the degree of ‘environmental confusion’ in the home, referring to high levels of noise, crowding and home traffic patterns. The CHAOS measure is completed by parents to assess the characteristics of noise, confusion, clutter, hubbub, frenetic activities, and disorganization in the home environment.
