Parent-Adolescent Communication Scale

The Parent-Adolescent Communication Scale consists of 20 items measuring the quality of communication between an adolescent and their parent. The Open Family Communication (OFC) subscale reflects feelings of free expression and understanding in parent-adolescent interactions. The Problems in Family Communication (PFC) subscale measures negative interaction patterns and hesitancy to disclose concerns.

In RADAR, only 10 items of the Open Family Communication subscale were used.
