Parental reactions

The Parental Reactions questionnaire assesses parental responses to children's wrongdoing or disclosure. Positive parental reactions consist of items related to attempted understanding and warmth. Negative parental reactions consist of items related to angry outbursts, coldness-rejection, and negative reactions to disclosure.

In TRAILS, a selection of items from the Angry outbursts, attempted understanding (problem solving) and coldness-rejection (guilt inducing) subscales were used (3 items per subscale per parent).
