Parenting Self-Efficacy (PSE)

Parenting Self-Efficacy (PSE) assesses a parents' self-reported belief in their ability and efficacy to perform the parenting role successfully or their expectations of their parenthood. Items include "I look forward to growing older and feel confident in my role as a parent." or "I think I can trust my feelings and intuition when caring for my baby."

In RADAR, only the subscale on Infant expectations (16 items) was used. In RADAR Old Wave 14 and RADAR Young Wave 11, the survey was split into three surveys (no child, baby <1 year, child > 1 year), depending on the age of their child the respondent received one out of three surveys.
