Demographics

The demographics questionnaire assesses many kinds of demographic characteristics of the child and its parents and grandparents. It includes items about the parents' birthdate, age, country of origin, language spoken at home, religion, household composition and marital status/single parenthood, living situation, and highest education.

The mid-pregnancy and 17-18 years measurement waves also assessed the demographic characteristics of grandparents, including their age, divorce, household composition, highest education, work, and economic circumstances (possessions and activities). Questions in different waves are not identical. For detailed information, please refer to the corresponding questionnaires in Generation R Wiki.
