Life events and difficulties

Life events assesses a number of important events in the participant's life, such as hospital admissions, moves to other houses, divorce, family illness, death of a loved one, romantic relationships, friendships, victimization, delinquency, and long stay away from home below age twelve.

In the first measurement wave of TRAILS, all life events up until enrollment into the study were covered. The following waves covered the life events during the past two years.
