Family Assessment Device (FAD)

The McMaster's Family Assessment Device (FAD) evaluates families according to the McMaster Model of Family Functioning. The FAD is made up of seven scales which measure Problem Solving, Communication, Roles, Affective Responsiveness, Affective Involvement, Behavior Control and General Functioning.

In Generation R, only the general functioning (GF) subscale was assessed. Participants responded on the 12 items with a 4-point Likert scale.
