LC-MS lipidomics

Liquid chromatography mass spectrometry (LC-MS) platform targeting lipid species.

Plasma lipids were measured using high-performance liquid chromatography mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS). Chromatic separation was done on a Alltech Prosphere C4 300Å HPLC column (150x3.2 mm, i.d., 5μm, Alltech, Lexington, KY) and a Symmetry 300 C4 guard column (10x2.1 mm i.d., 3.5μm; Waters, Milford, MA) coupled to an TSQ Quantum Discovery Triple Quadropule mass spectrometer (ThermoFinnigan, Breda, The Netherlands).
