Buccal swab

Buccal swabs are collections of buccal cell scrapings obtained by rubbing buds along the inside of the mouth.

In YOUth, buccal cells were collected with a swab (Sarstedt forensic swab), by gently rubbing and rotating the swab along the inside of the cheek for 5-10s. They were then stored at -80 degrees Celcius.
