Raven's Progressive Matrices Test (RPM)

Raven's Progressive Matrices (often referred to simply as Raven's Matrices or RPM) is a non-verbal test used to measure general intelligence and abstract reasoning. It is one of the most common tests administered to both groups and individuals ranging from 5-years-olds to the elderly. It consists of 60 multiple choice questions, listed in order of increasing difficulty. This format is designed to measure the test taker's reasoning ability, the eductive ("meaning-making") component of Spearman's g (g is often referred to as general intelligence).

The Raven Standard Progressive Matrices was used for twins and their siblings in NTR projects YC_BS1 and YC_BS2, and the Raven Advanced Progressive Matrices for parents of twins was used in NTR projects YC_BS1 and YC_BS2 and twins in NTR project YE_ATTEF3.
