Fear of Negative Social Evaluation Scale (FNSE)

The Fear of Negative Social Evaluation Scale (FNSE) is a validated assessment of self-reported social anxiety.

In TRAILS, four items from the Interpersonal Sensitivity Measure were used with clear fear of negative social evaluation content: (1) If someone criticizes something I do, I feel bad, (2) I always suspect criticism, (3) My self-esteem depends a lot on what others think of me, and (4) I feel that it is important what people think of me.
