Revised Life Orientation Test (LOT-R)

The Revised Life Orientation Test (LOT-R) is a standard psychological instrument that assesses one’s self-reported dispositional level of optimism. In the questionnaire, participants are asked to indicate to what extent they expect positive vs. negative outcomes to happen, e.g., "I usually expect the best", "I hardly expect things to go my way".
