Adult Temperament Questionnaire (ATQ)

The Adult Temperament Questionnaire (ATQ) is a 77-item questionnaire that measures self-reported effortful control, negative affect/neuroticism, extraversion/surgency, and orienting sensitivity. Each item is scored on a 7-point Likert-scale.

Within L-CID, 35 items from the Effortful control subscale (consisting of Attentional control, Activation control and Inhibitory control) and the Orienting sensitivity subscale (consisting of Neutral Perceptual Sensitivity, Affective Perceptual Sensitivity, and Associative Sensitivity) were used. When the parent indicated to have a partner, the questions were asked to the partner as well.
