Peptide hormones - Adrenocorticotropic Hormone (ACTH)

Peptide hormones, for instance Adrenocorticotropic Hormone (ACTH, pituitary hormone), Alpha-Melanocyte-Stimulating Hormone (α-MSH, Melanocortin), Luteinizing Hormone (LH), Cholecytokinin, and Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH), measured with traditional enzymatic tests, such as Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assays (ELISA).

In TRAILS, the Adrenocorticotropic Hormone (ACTH) was assessed. ACTH is a peptide hormone that is part of the HPA axis and is generally released in response to stress. ACTH was assessed from a blood sample using traditional enzymatic methods such as Enzyme Immuno Assay (EIA).
