Nijmeegse Ouderlijke Stress Index - short (NOSI)

The Nijmeegse Ouderlijke Index (NOSI, Parental Stress Index) is a parent self-report measure to assess parental stress. Includes items about parental acceptance and sense of competence.

In Generation R, 12 items of the 25-item version were assessed. Parents reported parenting stress due to parental factors and child factors, together reflecting overall parenting stress. The items are rated on a 4-point Likert scale.
